Application Of Intent Package For Individuals Without Uniform CPA Examination Credits To Be Transferred To Texas
General Instructions:
This package contains the forms necessary to show intent to qualify as a Texas CPA by passing the Uniform CPA Examination.
Keep a copy of the completed forms and documents for your records.
When this application is approved, you will be instructed on the next steps to take to apply for the CPA examination.
Required Forms and Documents:

The Aug 2023 revised ‘Application of Intent’ form is now available on our website.
It may be submitted to the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA) on or after September 1, 2023.
Any Aug 2023 revised ‘Application of Intent’ forms received by TSBPA on or before August 31, 2023 will be rejected.
Submitting your Aug 2023 revised ‘Application of Intent’ by email is allowed ONLY if you meet all of the following conditions:
- You previously submitted an ‘Application of Intent’ to TSBPA (prior to September 1, 2023);
- Your previously submitted ‘Application of Intent’ is ‘Active’ in our system and not expired; and
- You elected to cancel the previously submitted ‘Application of Intent’ and reapply under the Public Accountancy Act of 2023 using the Aug 2023 revised ‘Application of Intent’ form to meet the education requirements for examination and licensure.
Submit your completed Aug 2023 revised ‘Application of Intent’ form by attaching it to an email to the 2023AOI@tsbpa.texas.gov
If this is:
- your first time to file an ‘Application of Intent’ or
- your previously submitted ‘Application of Intent’ expired
You should complete the Aug 2023 revised ‘Application of Intent’ form and mail it to TSBPA with the required fee, forms, and documents |
